After specific laboratory analysis on cutaneous tissue, it is controlled and validated by Supervisors of Skin Bank if suitable for clinical use. In this case, the skin tissue is therefore ready and "safe" for clinical application and it can be distributed both regionally and nationally.

The human dermis processed within the Cell Factory can also be subjected to a decellularization process before packaging, in order to obtain a product of tissue engineering usable for clinical purposes. The cutaneous tissue packaged and sealed inside sterile bags within the Cell Factory is then subjected to:
The harvesting of cutaneous tissue is performed by personnel dedicated to activity of tissue collection. The collected tissue is delivered to Burn Center of “M. Bufalini” Hospital in Cesena and it is then transported to Skin Bank ERR. Here, the specialized personnel of Skin Bank carries out the acceptance of tissue, assigning to it an unique identification code.

The Skin Bank ERR, the reference center for the Emilia Romagna region, is authorized and certified by the National Transplant Center (CNT) for carrying out the following activities:
